I teach a 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Business Tech class, along with an 8th grade College and Career Readiness class.  

 

Keyboarding and basic computer skills is the focus for 6th grade.  7th graders continue keyboarding skills and technique and start learning Google apps such as Docs, Sheets, and Slides.  In 8th grade, the focus shifts to Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel.  In all three classes, we do various project-based assignments to work with the programs and apps.

 

My Career class looks into different aspects of preparing for college and careers beyond high school.  We finish the six week course with a research project, focusing on one career.
