Welcome to North Montgomery MS

ParentSquare logo

Dear Parents/Guardians:

Starting with the 2021-22 school year, we will begin using ParentSquare to communicate with our Charger families.  This system is replacing SchoolMessenger.  Notices from the schools will now be delivered via phone, text, email, and the ParentSquare App, which is optional.  The app is available in the app store for Android and iPhone.  ParentSquare automatically generates an account for the parent/guardian, using the information provided in PowerSchool.

On July 23, parents will receive an activation email with directions for setting up a ParentSquare account.  In emergencies or when notifying school families is urgent, ParentSquare will use all methods of contact, which includes a phone call, text, email and app notification (if we have the correct information and if you have downloaded the app).  Parents who do create an account can become more actively engaged in communication by appreciating posts, viewing newsletters, receiving important alerts, and managing communication preferences.  We encourage parents to download the FREE ParentSquare app.

If you have questions, please contact the school your student attends. We look forward to working with you in the new school year!

Thank you,

Steve Renzino, Principal

Returning Student Registration (confirm enrollment for next school year) May 17th to June 13th, 2021

Confirming your student will be returning to a North Montgomery School for the 2021-22 school year is very important! By doing so, we can better determine staffing and transportation needs for the 2021-22 school year. Completing the process also ensures we have accurate information on file in case of an emergency. Also, starting this coming school year, any student who wishes to ride the school bus will need to register for transportation through this process. If you have multiple students in your family, each one must complete the process. If you do not register, you won’t receive transportation for the start of the school year and will have to wait until after school begins to sign up. Those who register will be able to check bus assignments in PowerSchool before school starts.

Please help us by taking a few minutes to complete the confirmation process for each of your children in the PowerSchool Parent Portal at  If you have questions, please contact the school your child(ren) attend.

**Please Note: This process must be completed on a desktop computer.  The PowerSchool mobile app. cannot be used.

  • IMG 4471Welcome to the website for North Montgomery Middle School, home of the Chargers. I am Steve Renzino, the Principal.

North Montgomery Middle School is a dynamic middle school located in Montgomery County serving 415 students in grades sixth through eighth. We follow the trimester model which allows our students more instructional time in the core areas of Language Arts, Math, Social Studies and Science. Students take 5 classes a day for 12 weeks and spend 60 minutes in each class. This allows for more instruction in each class over the course of the school year. Our students also have the opportunity to take a variety of exploratory classes such as music, PE, band, media and a host of other classes. In addition, we offer a student resource time each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:00-3:40 for students to get one on one help from their teachers or participate in clubs and other activities. We offer a second transportation route home for these students. This has allowed our students to participate in more activities and get more in-depth help from their teachers without having to worry about transportation.

We strive to create an environment where each and every student is given the attention necessary to achieve his/her individual success. We want your child’s middle school years to be engaging, challenging, interesting, and enjoyable. Teachers and staff work diligently to foster a school climate that nurtures affective and cognitive development. The Northridge Middle School family believes that success at school is achieved in partnership with students and their parents.

With all of us working together, we can help to make these great years of personal growth for your child and continue the strong tradition of excellence at North Montgomery Middle School.
